Shree Ramkrishna Seva Mandal
is a registered society and a public trust. It was established
in the year 1954,as a multidimensional experiment. It was not
only an educational trust providing institutes from primary to
research level education, but it also had a strong medical and
socio- economic implication for surrounding rural area .
Both Shree
Ramkrishna Paramhansa and his ardent disciple, Swami Vivekanand
strongly believed and adopted Lord Buddha's sermon- to practice
in life. Vivekanand with his teaching always aimed at human welfare.
Adopting the same principle, Shri Ramkrishna Seva Mandal initially
began with providing medical facilities to the residents of the
surrounding rural area at "no" or "subsidized"
cost. In that early post-independence era, when proper medical
aid was a distant dream, Shri Ramkrishna Seva Mandal through its
generous assistance proved to be a boon to the common man.
Shree
Gordhanbhai Patel, (Hon. Secretory)adorably called Vakil Saheb,
and Shri Natvarlal Dave (President),the founder trustees of the
Mandal, shared the most popular view that development of an independent
India and its villages can be affected only through properly trained
individuals. Hence establishing an academic institute was a top
priority. In this context ,Shri Ramkrishna Seva Mandal in March
1963 pioneered to establish Anand Arts College. This development
marked the birth of the first college of Anand. Slowly and steadily,
various institutions beginning from kindergarten to graduate and
post-graduate courses were launched, making progress under the
flag of Shri Ramkrishna Seva Mandal.
While Shree Ramkrishna
Seva Mandal just began with the modest act of charity of providing
medical aid to the less privileged people of the surrounding rural
area, today it is shouldering the responsibilities of various
institutions providing academic training in various streams of
education as well as technical and professional education.
